
Arty Crafty Kids – Exploring the world’s greatest artists

In this 4 week program, children will be introduced to some of the greatest artists in the world. The sessions will start by sharing books about these great artists then children will have the opportunity to draw, paint, build and create artworks inspired by these artists. All materials are included and assistance will be provided.
Week 1 – Monday 7 March: Make a Frida Kahlo flower pot
Week 2 – Monday 14 March: Pablo Picasso cubist face
Week 3 – Monday 21 March: Claude Monet watercolour canvas
Week 4 – Monday 28 March: Van Gogh sunflower portrait
Cost $15.50 PP for four sessions| Bookings essential online | Suitable for school years 3-6
This event is for children only. Due to space restrictions in the room, parents will not be permitted and do not require a ticket. This event is fully supervised by library staff.
COVID safe practices will be in place:

- All ticket holders will be required to follow current NSW Health guidelines at the time of the event

Bromeliad Society of Australia Monthly Meeting and Plant Sale

Monthly meeting of the Bromeliad Society of Australia including plant sale running from 10am – 12 noon with meeting commencing from 12 noon – 3pm, bromeliad discussion and demonstrations and raffle.
Locally grown plants. Visitors welcome. Please note that all attendees need to present proof of double vaccination, wear a mask and QR check in or sign in is a requirement.

Jazz at The Pines

The much-loved Jazz at The Pines returns to the Hills for a delayed start to the 2021-22 season after being put on pause due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Enjoy an afternoon of live Jazz in the grounds of historic Roughley House at Dural.
Bring your picnic and relax under the magnificent old pine trees. Tables can be booked or set up your own chairs or picnic rug.
Freshly baked cakes, tea and coffee will also be available in the Visitor Centre.
The November Jazz event features the Bridge City Jazz Band lead by Colin Davies.
Tickets can be purchased on the day at the gate, however bookings are advised.
